At Aviva Developers, our story is not merely about construction; it is a compelling narrative of purpose and principle. Our journey began with a profound discovery during our founders’ community outreach in the slums of Luzira, Kampala. We were deeply moved by the struggle of ordinary Ugandans to secure dignified and safe housing. In a poignant contrast, we also observed that those with the financial means to build high-end homes were frequently let down by a fragmented industry, facing low-quality workmanship, a lack of transparency, and the persistent threat of fraud.
This dual reality ignited a singular mission within us. We realized there was a critical need to elevate the entire construction landscape. Fueled by early seed funding from the Avoda Investment Award, we set out to build a new kind of company. We carefully assembled a team of exceptional professionals—internationally trained architects, engineers, and project managers—all united by a shared passion to transform the East African construction industry. As a Kingdom Business, we are guided by the belief that our work should serve a higher purpose. Every luxury project we undertake is a cornerstone of this vision, as we have committed to reinvesting all of our revenue toward the research and development of sustainable, low-cost housing solutions. We are proud to be on track to finalize our concept for this groundbreaking initiative by 2028.
