Aviva Elite Developers is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, subcontractors, and visitors. We believe that everyone deserves to work in an environment free from unnecessary risks and hazards. This policy outlines our commitment to achieving and maintaining the highest standards of health and safety across all our operations.

Our Core Principles:

• Continuous Improvement: We are committed to continually improving our health and safety practices by regularly reviewing our policies and procedures, and implementing best practices in the industry.
• Compliance: We comply with all applicable health and safety legislation and regulations in Uganda.
• Communication and Training: We ensure all employees are aware of their health and safety responsibilities through regular training and communication.
• Open Reporting: We encourage a culture of open reporting of all incidents and near misses, allowing for timely investigation and corrective action.

Responsibilities:

• Management:
  • Provide and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure adequate resources are allocated for health and safety initiatives.
  • Implement effective risk management strategies.
  • Promote a culture of safety and compliance.
• Employees:
  • Work safely and responsibly.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and instructions.
  • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses.
  • Participate in safety training and awareness programs.
• Subcontractors:
  • Comply with Aviva Elite’s health and safety policy.
  • Maintain their own health and safety programs.
  • Provide training and instructions to their employees on relevant safety procedures.

Specific elements of our Health and Safety Program:

• Risk Assessments: We conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
• Safe Work Procedures: We develop and implement safe work procedures for all tasks and activities.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): We provide and require the use of appropriate PPE to mitigate risks.
• Accident and Incident Reporting: We have a clear system for reporting and investigating accidents and incidents to identify and address root causes.
• Emergency Preparedness: We have established emergency response plans and procedures in place to ensure the safety of everyone on site in case of an emergency.
